Description
The Houlton Band performed in the west end of Market Square during the 4th of July celebrations in 1910. The background buildings were, left to right: Market Square Livery, D. Sheehan Harness Maker, H.E. Thomas Barber Shop/Tonsorial parlor, and The Snell House Hotel.
Market Square, the center point for all local celebrations throughout the towns history, was originally named Washington Square.
