Description
Edwin and Jennie Cromwell opened their famous snack bar, Bayside Oaks, in 1958. They specialized in lobsters and steamed clams. Their location on the shore of Montsweag Bay allowed lobster boats to pull right up and deliver fresh lobster and provided a scenic lunch spot to enjoy a fresh Maine lobster roll. The snack bar closed in 1976.
