Description
After the Civil War in 1865, James N. Clark built a large boarding home on Kendall Street, later named Farmers Hotel in 1882, and Clark's Hotel in 1883. According to local records the building was meticulously kept and capably operated. Many lumber and railroad promoters frequented the Hotel and many a financial dealing were negotiated within its walls.
Visible on the far left is Geo. A. Hall Company, marketers of hay, grain, and potatoes.
