Description
This map includes illustrations, historic events, and an inset map of Portland. Lengthy textual historical descriptions of Yarmouth, Freeport, Brunswick, Bath, and Portland are present. Some points of historical interest include: Two Lights, Portland Head Light, Eastern Cemetery, Ft. Popham, Mackworth Island, and Greenfield Pote's house. Many historical events related to Wabanaki resistance to colonization are told from a very biased Euro-American perspective.
