Description
The Pejepscot Dam is seen from the abutment at the southwest corner of the paper mill in a photo taken November 7, 1896. The water elevation above the dam was 68'2" -- 4'2" on crest and the elevation of the water below the dam was 47'9" -- 1.9" on apron. The total head and fall was 20'5". The dam is on the Androscoggin River.
