Description
Anne F. Wilson's red rayon dress is an example of Art Deco fashion design, with geometric stitch detail throughout, and a rhinestone buckle indicative of the period. The dress includes long sleeves, with a tight cuff accented with an attached tie. A self-tie detail also appears at the back of the neck. An inserted triangle panel at the neck has a slight drape, with two round buttons at the right side.
Anne F. Wilson (1873-1959) originally of Waterford graduated from Wellesley College, after which she worked as a author, editor and social worker. By 1920, she was living in Somerville, MA with her mother, Sarah (Moore) Wilson.
