Description
Margery Burr (1897-1987) of Kennbunkport owned this dusty rose colored silk crepe dress. The straight silhouette is indicative of the early 1920s. The ankle-length dress includes multicolored machine embroidery in a red, black, and green floral pattern. A black button appears at the cuff of each short sleeve.
Originally from Boston, Margery (Southack) Burr also resided in Kennebunkport. She was a long time fashion model, and owned and operated a fashion agency in Boston called "Burr of Boston."
