Description
Elizabeth McNeil Butts (1873-1965) wore this cloak in Lewiston during the 1902 and 1903 seasons. Originally from Massachusetts, Elizabeth McNeil married John P. Butts in Lewiston in 1901.
The red wool cloak features a black Persian lambs wool (known as astrakhan) collar, and a black embroidered botanical design. The design is a stylized flower and vine motif.
