Description
Pictured is a black silk evening or theater coat made by Filene's, a Boston store devoted to women's ready-to-wear clothing and accessories.
The coat has a shallow v-neck trimmed with black woven tape woven with alternating stars and swastikas. The sleeves are long with turned-over cuffs trimmed with decorative tape. The front has flat box pleats that start at the high waist with one button on each side.
The back of the coat has box pleats at the center back with two large buttons. The decorative tape at the neckline comes to a point at the center back. The coat is made from 8 panels of fabric.
