Description
Mary King Scrimgeour's light tan cotton full-length car coat (duster) features blue velvet trim on the notched collar and cuffs. The tan fabric is a tight weave.
The shoulders are gathered, which gives fullness to the shoulder. Four large fabric-covered buttons run down the front, and two similar buttons adorn each cuff. Each side has a slash pocket at hip level. The back of the duster is fitted with four buttons and faux tabs leading to pleats. The top portion of the duster is lined with open-weave cotton fabric and satin woven silk.
