Description
This deed conveyed property in Thomaston from Lucy Knox to Adam Teal. When General Henry Knox died in 1806 he left his family in a precarious financial position. His widow Lucy suported herself in large part by selling lots from the vast acreage she had inherited, and her husband had expanded, in midcoast Maine. Her daughter, Lucy Flucker Knox Thatcher, signed as a witness.
