Description
Scrap at the William H. Perry & Co., Kennebec Street, Portland, awaits loading on Maine Central Railroad cars, about 1909.
William H. Lane was manager of the Portland office of the company. The main office was in Providence, Rhode Island. Lane later ran his own scrap business, W.H. Lane & Son Inc. Junk on Bishop Street.
