Description
Greenlief's Store, dance hall and post office were located in Upper Abbot. In the early years of the village the areas were one town but were referred to by the townspeople as Upper and Lower Abbot Village. Each section had mills, stores and other businesses. Greenlief's store was the social center of the Upper end of town and provided a social as well as an economic center.
