Description
People gathered at Indian Point on Lake Hebron. Canoes, row boats and the steamship Molly Tomah, which was built about 1900 and burned in 1911. The Molly Tomah was used to carry passengers around the lake.
The first cottage on Indian Point was owned by Mrs. P.W. Knight, followed by others in the following years.
This land was conveyed by Eben and Lucy Bray in 1890, when the Lake Hebron Navigation Co. corporation was formed and the lots were laid out. An Indian family whose name was "Rain-in-the-face" were the last Indians to live on Indian Point.
