Description
The Lewis W. Rich family peeked from the door of their home on Steamboat Avenue after it suffered severe damage from the May 22,1921 cyclone that took Searsport by complete surprise.
Many Searsport homes and building were heavily damaged before the freak and violent storm moved out to sea. Thankfully, there were no fatalities and only a few serious injuries were recorded during the unusual event.
