Description
A narrow crinoline, known as a "crinolette," with a flat front and protruding hoop skirt.The linen panel along the front provided a smooth silhouette, while the hoop skirt feature at back supported the period's shelf-like bustle, in fashion from about 1881-1889.
The crinolette is supported by linen straps and wire framing. Its is pictured here with a period chemise (slip) and reproduction corset.
