Description
Described as dotted silk velvet with blue ground and a white slip, this dress was a "great success" in 1929. The model's bobbed hair, the dresses’ high hemline and low-waist characterized the 1920s flapper style. However, waistlines began to rise by the end of the decade.
A Parisian designer sent this line sheet to customers in Maine. It arrived at Maine Historical Society with artist Mildred Burrage's papers.
