Description
This wool suit featured a bolero jacket with pleated bell-shaped sleeves and pleated front bib. In addition to square shoulders and small waist, typical of the 1930s fashions, the ensemble featured several details from decades prior, such as trumpet sleeves and short bolero jackets, both fashionable during the mid-19th century.
A Parisian designer sent this line sheet to customers in Maine. It arrived at Maine Historical Society with artist Mildred Burrage's papers.
