Description
Vice President George Bush spoke with reporters from his summer home at Walker's Point in Kennebunkport. He said "that day's over when people can throw stones at the United States and not expect to have some kind of retaliation." He said, "We shouldn't be the doormat because of some pang of consciousness emanating from 12 years ago," a reference to the Vietnam War.
