Description
Volume 6 of the Pejepscot Proprietors Papers was arranged and bound by the library staff of the Maine Historical Society in or around 1864. The volume contains copies of deeds, affadavits, legal opinions, leases, inventories, correspondence, powers of attorney, notes, written histories and genealogies, along with other manuscript material relating to company activity in Bowdoinham, Harpswell, Boothbay, Brunswick and Topsham. The records also include historical material that relates to land granted to Harvard College, Richard Wharton, Reverend Samuel Eaton, Sir Richard Edgecomb and the Duke of York.
