Description
Winter view of the Wadsworth-Longfellow House on Congress Street in Portland with a horse and sleigh passing by.
The former home of Peleg Wadsworth, it then was occupied by his daughter Zilpah and her husband Stephen Longfellow and their children, including Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Anne Longfellow Pierce,
Anne Longfellow Pierce gave the house to the Maine Historical Society in 1910 and a Research Library was built to the right rear of the property.
