Description
John Davison wrote to his wife, Eliza Ann Davison of Augusta, from Key West, describing his voyage through the most violent storm he had ever experienced. One crew member was drowned. His crew sick or injured, Davison reported that his boat drifted for many days while they waited for the gale to lessen. He reported his cargo was decayed.
