Description
This Sheraton eight drawer, three section, mahogany sideboard came from the Knox estate, when the contents of Montpelier were put up for auction in 1854 after the death of Lucy Flucker Thatcher, his daughter. An auction receipt accompanied the sideboard. Knox was said to have purchased a sideboard for each of his three children that survived to adulthood, and this may be one of those.
