Description
Cyrus Woodman, who was born in Buxton in 1814, spent much of his life in Wisconsin where he was involved in business and philanthropy. Upon his death in 1889, he left $1,000 to five different New England institutions, including the Maine Historical Society. He is buried in Buxton. This is a photograph of his portrait done by Frederic P. Vinton.
