Description
Manuscript map #9 of "Church and Woodward's land at Maquoit," ca. 1740. Map #10 also was created of this area showing Capt. Samuel Woodward's land, dated 1740. The Pejepscot Proprietors, in their proposal to the Legislature of Massachusetts Committee for Eastern Claims, promised to set aside land and pay for the maintenance of a church and ministry in new towns within their claim.
