Description
This souvenir plaque has a relief image of the Wadsworth-Longfellow House on Congress Street in Portland.
The house, built by Revolutionary War veteran Peleg Wadsworth, was the childhood home of the poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
Peleg Wadsworth's daughter Zilpah married lawyer Stephen Longfellow and they raised their children in the brick house.
On the bottom of the plaque are the words "The Wadsworth Longfellow House, Portland, Maine."
