Description
The East Hampton, built at Cobb & Butler in Rockland in 1913, is shown here moored in front of the Portland Company pier where it was equipped for Sickler & Meadows of the Atlantic Fertilizer Company.
The Navy bought the vessel in 1917 and used it for patrols in Northern New England waters and as a submarine escort, before selling it in 1920.
