Description

Manuscript map #21 showing seven lots on the Androscoggin River, near Brunswick, commissioned by the Pejepscot Purchase Company. Names mentioned on the map are Richard Wharton, James Buffon, Isaac Royall, Fayrweather family, Belcher Noyes, Moulton family, Skinner family, Freeman family, Eben Smith, Samual Waterhouse, Stephen Chase, Daniel Eaton, Alex Gray, Merrill family, James Frost, Samuel Dunlap and the Whittens family.

The area of this map is bordered on the north by Topsham and the Androscoggin River, on the east by 12 Rod Road (now Maine Street in Brunswick), on the southeast by Maquoit Bay, on the south by the North Yarmouth line (present day Freeport), and on the west by Royalsborough (now Durham).
