Description
In 1928 George W. Shaw, M.D., Michael Corey, McGrath and Langdon organized the effort to create Maine's first municipal airport. By the early 1930s the airport consisted of two turf landing strips and a hanger. In 1936 it was designated an International Port-of-Entry.
