Pudding mold, ca. 1900

Description

Pudding was a popular dessert of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Molds were available to form the tasty treat into pleasing shapes. Molds came in a vairty of shapes and sizes, such as this one with the design of a corn husk. Others may create grapes, asparagus, or even fish.

This pudding mold came from the kitchen of Martha Skolfield, of the Skolfield-Whittier House in Brunswick.
