Description
A portrait of Martha Harward Skolfield, taken ca. 1875. At the time this picture was taken, Martha had moved from Brunswick, Maine, to Birkenhead, England, just outside of Liverpool. She lived there with her family: husband Alfred Skolfield, a sea captain, and daughters Eugenie and Augusta Marie. The photo was taken in Liverpool. In 1887, the Skolfields returned to their home in Brunswick, now called the Skolfield-Whittier House.
