Description
The Wadsworth-Longfellow House on Congress Street in Portland was home to the Peleg Wadsworth family and later to the Stephen and Zilpah Wadsworth Longfellow family. It was the childhood home of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, the poet.
Anne Longfellow Pierce, the poet's sister, gave the building to the Maine Historical Society in 1901.
