Description
The front hallway of the Wadsworth-Longfellow House on Congress Street in Portland in about 1900. Peleg Wadsworth, a Revolutionary War general, built the brick home for his family.
His daughter Zilpah married Stephen Longfellow and they raised their family, including son Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, in the home.
