Newsletter Number One was created by Lorraine Anderson of New Sweden and Meritta Anderson of Stockholm, , under the direction of the Rev. Mallard L. Nelson for the benefit of the Lutheran church members serving in the military during World War II from these local communities. It was dated October 23, 1942.
This newsletter is typical of those sent to the service men and women during WWII.
