Description
This Pageant is probably the Pageant of Portland, performed on the Eastern Promenade on July 4th. The pageant celebrated the settlement and founding of Portland and consisted of many short plays highlighting important people and events in Portland's history. Many of the actors and actresses portrayed symbolic figures like Fame, Memory, Flame and Desolation.
