Description
The Kingfisher trawler was fitted out by the Portland Company for the East Coast Fisheries Company of Rockland, Maine. "Perhaps on her first voyage, the trawler Kingfisher has just hauled a netful of small fish. The operation appears to be happening under the watchful eyes of interested guests aboard the vessel that day." --Fletcher, David H. "The Portland Company 1846-1982." Charleston, S.C.: Arcadia Pub., 2002. 51.
