Portland Breakwater and Lighthouse, 1962

Description

The lighthouse is at the end of Portland Breakwater. It is an eclectic cast-iron design adapted from the Choragic Monument of Lysicrates, but combining Greek and Roman details. It was built in 1855 and rebuilt in 1875. It is now known as 'Bug Light.'
