Description
Albion Keith Parris wrote to his father, Samuel Parris, on July 16, 1832, describing his efforts at the State House to locate service rolls from the Revolutionary War that list Samuel.
He appears to have met with varying degrees of success in locating Samuel's name on the different rolls.
Albion Parris was governor of Maine from 1822-1827 and served in the U.S. Senate from 1827-1828, when he resigned to serve on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.
