Description
Taken during the Portland Centennial celebration in 1886, a group of firemen stood in front of the City Liquor Agency for a group photo. The agency sold ardent spirit for medicinal and mechanical purposes. Located at 135 Congress Street, it was a hot bed of recurring corruption with agents often arrested by local police. This print is a copy print.
