Description
As the largest and most sparsely populated state in New England, Maine represents a significant portion of the breeding range for many eastern woodland Bird species. Biologist and nature writer, Bernd Heinrich, is renowned for his wildlife artwork, including the species of Warbler songbirds seen in Maine in 2006.
Heinrich notes the males in the painting are in "nuptial plumage."
