Description
The New Brunswick and Canadian Railroad station and surrounding yard in Houlton.
The NB&C started service to Houlton on November 9, 1870, more than 20 years before the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad started service to Houlton.
NB&C was vital for transportation and for shipping goods in and out and out of the region. It held the U.S. Mail contract for awhile.
