Description
This label was on a can of Atlantic Ocean water that accompanied a small trunk shipped across the country by Henry Thurston Clark in 1873.
It reads: " can [words missing] with water of [words missing] harbor of Halifax [missing] emptied into San Franc [rest missing] harbor, then refilled with w[rest missing] water of the Pacific Ocean and emptied into the Atlantic Ocean at Halifax Sept. 1873"
