Description
Caroline "Carrie" E. Gould was a teacher at Portland High School for many years.
The daughter of Mary E. and Erastus E. Gould was born in 1850 in Portland. Erastus Gould worked for the Eastern Argus before becoming publisher of the Portland Transcript.
Erastus Gould died in 1859. Mary E. Gould and her children, Carrie, George, who was a lawyer; and Emma, continued to live on Lincoln Street. Mary Gould died in 1904.
