Description
Bangor and Aroostook Railroads Derby Yard was the site of the main repair shop. Engines, rolling stock and other equipment were brought to the Derby shop for overhauls. Steam engines were disassembled, worn parts replaced and rebuilt. Note the turntable, roundhouse, numerous sidings and the transfer table between the two main buildings. The Derby Hotel is seen in the lower right corner.
