Description
A backhoe-style dredger, the Charles A. Richardson, owned by the Perini Corporation, dredges the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad berth at Searsport in 1966.
In eight days it removed nearly 14,000 cubic yards of material, which clamshell-style dredgers were unable to unearth.
