Description
A Mogul-type 2-6-0 that was rebuilt as a 4-4-0.
John Olson, engineer, emigrated from Sweden in 1905 at the age of 20 to the farm of his Uncle Israel Olson on Grimes Road in Caribou. He was employed by the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad as a fireman and engineer until the railroad strike in 1913. In April, 1913, he purchased a farm in Garland, Maine with his strike benefit. He farmed there until his death in 1958.
