Description
This view of a portion of Portland's Western Promenade was taken from the roof of Maine General Hospital in 1926. Maine General Hospital, which is located on Bramhall Street, opened in 1874. In 1951, MGH joined with The Maine Eye and Ear Infirmary and Children's Hospital under the name Maine Medical Center.
