Description
The home of Ashbel Chaplin, an ice dealer with Clark & Chaplin, 125 Western Promenade in Portland. This photo was taken by his nephew, Joseph F. Chaplin, who joined him in the business. It probably was taken after Ashbel Chaplin died in 1889.
