Charles Quincy Goodhue sketched this view of Hay Market Square in Portland in 1902.
It depicts the square some 70 years earlier. The caption reads, "Hay Market Square, in 1830. This is now Monument Square. The cupole is on the Universalist school house, Dearing distric."
