Passengers aboard the "Sunbeam II" watching the Norwegian vessel "Toronto" deliver International One Design sailboats, Cranberry Isles, 1938
On May 6, 1938, a large group of passengers aboard the Sunbeam IIgathered to watch the Norwegian ship SS TORONTO deliver the International design sailboats to the Northeast Harbor Fleet off Bear Island. The Internationals were adopted by top racers and fleets were established in Marblehead, Massachusetts, and Northeast Harbor, Maine.
